THE DEADLIEST NATURAL DISASTERS IN RECORDED HISTORY

TSUNAMI 2004

    26 DEC 2004 A Tsunami, caused by a massive tectonic disturbance of magnitude 9.1- 9.3 off the west cost of Sumatra, Indonesia, at a depth of around 30 km, has caused tsunamis along most landmasses around the Indian Ocean. Due to the earthquake orientation, the more dangerous tsunamis were generated east-west of the 1,600 km fault-line. Hence Bangladesh, despite being a law-lying country, suffered minimal damage and loss of life. Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Thailand, however, faced devastation. Indonesia alone has suffered an estimated 1,70,000 casualties. Waves reached as far as two km inland at places. The entire incident has inspired on of the largest aid efforts in recent history, with the worldwide community donating more than $14 billion to the affected people.

CHARLIE CHAPLIN DIES.....
   In1977 December 25 Sir Charlies Chaplin, KBE, died today at his home in Switzerland . He was 88. Chaplin's career in the cinema spanned 50 years but his reputation as comic genius will rest most securely on a core of films made between 1916 and 1928, which include the Oscar-winning The circus, The star's Love-hate relationship with Hollywood was resolved in 1973 when, after a 20 - year exile in Europe, He was awarded a special Oscar for lifetime contribution to film and commemorated with a status at the corner of Hollywood and vine, In 1975 He was made KBE in the new year's Honors list.

  In 1999 An Indian Airlines flight has been hijacked by armed gunmen shortly after it entered Indian Airspace. They forced the aircraft to land in Kandahar, Afghanistan. The hijackers released 27 of the 176 passengers but fatally stabbed one and wounded several others..

The Best Weapon.......

Actually I'm confused, as I'm fresh in Blog though I have no idea about blogging but I'm much interested

       Some time I thought the powerful arms are the best weapon for human being, but I was wrong. Some time I thought to be a powerful man  is the best way to be a respectful person .....ha ha ha......but I think I was totally wrong  ,,,,,

Now something is knocking in my mind ,

Does education be  the weapon to change the world ?

Does pleasure be the end goal of life?

Still I'm confused.....
